Truly haunting, with an image left on your retina, it’s time of you to take in the “Virgins” video from Death From Above 1979. Directed by Eva Michon, the video sees Amish teens licking eyeballs, snorting ashes from cremated corpses, and taking psychedelics. Taken from their album The Physical World, “Virgins” is as awe-inspiring as it is affecting. Not content with the cinematographic visual, the band are also featured in the video, appearing as Police. Speaking on the visual, the band state: “The video takes cues from the lyrics of the song which are a meditation on innocence and coming of age. That very precarious time in life when sex is elusive, maybe even frightening but always compelling.” Check it out below, and prepare to open your eyes a little wider.
