While YouTube has been a very dominant platform for artists to share their work a few years back, there seems to have been a recent decline, with independent musicians taking to SoundCloud and other streaming platforms to broadcast their material. In order to further push forward, the video-streaming company developed a new hub designed specifically for bedroom musicians who desire to “make it” in the industry. Called ‘YouTube for Artists,’ the platform will provide services such as lessons and guides on fan engagement, making money on YouTube, and more.
