Shwood Introduces the Newspaper Collection

Word on the street is that print is dead, but perhaps all it needs is a bit of karmic energy. In a flash of recycling genius, the good people at Shwood present the Newspaper Collection, a capsule of eyewear crafted from old periodicals. Shwood created a proprietary in-house technique to create the collection, which glues 1,600 feet of newsprint together to create a thick, taut ‘log.’ From that, the glasses are cut and shaped, creating unique eyewear that gives new life to paper. The Newspaper Collection has been iterated in three versions of the Canby silhouette, all of which are available now online.
