Jay Leno drives the 1948 Buick Super Convertible on the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. Found in an old garage in Pennsylvania where it had been sitting for nearly 40 years after being abandoned in the ’70’s, the 1948 Buick Super Convertible sports a classic exterior while boasting 700 horsepower through the addition of the LS9 Supercharger engine from the Corvette ZR1. A custom-fitted chassis supports the vehicle as additional suspensions equip the convertible. Fitted with a modern touch-screen navigation system while maintaining the classic aesthetic of a ’40’s Buick, the convertible features salmon leather seats at the interior cabin as modified Buick wheels finish the model.
