Two years after initially announcing the vinyl edition of Jay Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jack White‘s Third Man Records will finally be dropping the project. The vinyl issuing of Magna Carta Holy Grail will consist of eight 7” records and come wrapped in a cloth-wrapped binder. Pages of the set will feature scratchoff portions that will reveal lyrics and pictures, with the package’s visual direction coming courtesy of the original LP’s Grammy-nominated cover-designer, Brian Roettinger. The theme of the Magna Carta Holy Grail is said to takes its inspirational cues from “the theme of redacted government documents.” Expect to only see a thousand numbered copies of the set to hit retailers, while not all of the copies will hit shelves at once. You can watch a trailer for the release above.
