Following the 2013 release of II, New Zealand alternative act Unknown Mortal Orchestra have announced their third studio album Multi-Love and have graciously offered the title single by the same name. Led by the intoxicating vocals of front-man Ruben Neilson, “Multi-Love” is an cross-genre piece that plays heavy on the synthesizers while still capturing the signature wonderment of the Unknown Mortal Orchestra sound. Commenting on the forthcoming album, Ruben Neilson says:

“It felt good to be rebelling against the typical view of what an artists is today, a curator. It’s more about being someone who makes things happen in concrete ways. Building old synthesizers and bringing them back to life, creating sounds that aren’t quite like anyone else’s. I think that’s much more subversive.”

Multi Love is expected to arrive May 26 via Jagjaguwar with an accompanying tour set to embark on May 7; dates can be peeped here.
