Apple Music App Is Now Available on Android
No full set of features just yet.
Four months after the launch of its music streaming service on iOS, OSX, and Windows platforms, Apple has announced that Apple Music will now be available on Android. However, the Android version comes up slightly short of the full set of features. The app does not include Apple Connect’s music videos, nor the option to start a family membership within the service. Users will also need Android version 4.3 or later to run the application. Since the launch of Apple Music last month, Apple CEO Tim Cook has shared that the service already boasts 6.5 million paid subscriptions. Of the company’s decision to launch the Android model, Eddy Cue of Apple told Billboard: “We wanted it to be for everyone. We wanted people to be able to enjoy music on their iPhone, or Android phone, or Windows computer, or Apple TV. Everyone loves music.” You can now download Apple Music for Android on Google Play.
