An Unreleased Ol' Dirty Bastard Song Surfaces
R.I.P. to one of the greats.
A previously-released Ol’ Dirty Bastard track has surfaced. Unveiled by RZA, the song is also remixed by Shash’U. Entitled “Obey Me,” the cut was originally available only through a Boombotix speaker. However, RZA and Boombotix have been generous enough to liberate the song for the general public. It’s the first new song from ODB that has appeared in a very long time, but let’s hope that there’s more like this locked away in the Wu-Tang vaults. Speaking on today’s drop, RZA had this to say regarding ODB’s creative process:
He was f*ckin’ buggin’ out on this song that night. Dirty felt that anything he made was supposed to be released… To me, there was a method to the madness of what we did.”
