This past weekend, Danish label Soulland took to St. George’s Bloomsbury in London to unveil its upcoming Fall/Winter 2015 collection. Dubbed “Exotic/Erotic,” the seasonal range takes inspiration from the style of the storied Manchester music scene of the 1990s — a gritty happening complemented perfectly by the local football of the time. The result is a collection that’s heavy on both sports and music iconography, pairing “Happy Mondays”-inspired jerseys and floral-covered jacquard wovens with Harris Tweed trench coats and bombers, silk-lined leather pilot jackets, Teflon-coated cotton parkas and needle-punched cable knits.
