Listen to the First Show of Kaytranada's BBC Radio 1 Residency

Flying Lotus is not the only one putting on a good show for BBC Radio 1. Like FlyLo, Kaytranada is going to be hosting his own BBC Radio 1 program this year, with his show taking place directly next to the Brainfeeder boss’. Last night, Kaytranada hosted the inaugural edition of his new residency, and like FlyLo’s, his is now available for streaming online. Kaytranada chose to mix an eclectic array of tracks for his outing, choosing to include everything from smooth funk to pop classics to hip-hop instrumentals. There’s Michael Jackson, Timbaland,  Big Daddy Kane, Feist, Pomo and more all rolled up into one hour-long package. Plus, Kaytra also decided to sprinkle a few unreleased cuts from his own collection throughout the mix. You can check out the program below, and run through the full tracklist here.
