Thanks to the immense success of artists such as Psy or Big Bang, K-pop has evolved from a regional trend (and industry) into a global phenonemon. In response to a recent survey, which showed that 21% of Korean pre-teen respondents wanted to become a K-pop star, the Boston Globe has documented the dream of making it big in this culture for its photo series, The Big Picture.
