Japanese contemporary brand WTAPS looks to a distinctly Western military canon for its inspirations. Here, the brand makes a slight departure by teaming up with Ebbets Field Flannels – itself a kind of heritage brand – to create a collection for Fall/Winter 2014. The range perfectly marries the two ideals, with the aesthetics harkening to the 20th century baseball boom in Japan. The project is comprised of a windbreaker, flannel baseball jersey and two hats – all of which stick to a wearable grey and blue color palette. WTAPS and Ebbets Fields prudently move into the cooler seasons with wool and thermal as cornerstone materials of the collection. Pick up these pieces in the coming days at authorized WTAPS retailers.
