The North Face Steep Tech Transformer Jacket Features Both Backpack and Vest Functions

The North Face has long held the outdoors and the subsequent need for the proper equipment as one of the fundamentals of the brand. Several decades ago, the brand launched Steep Tech as a division dedicated to pushing the limits of design and exploration in the outdoors. One of the subsequent releases was the Transformer jacket – a piece of design that features a multifaceted approach to functionality inclusive of a jacket, vest and backpack. Seen in iterations for the Japanese market, three patchwork-esque designs recreate one of the brand’s most iconic designs.
