Pharrell & Shay Haley Hint at new N.E.R.D Material

While it’s been four years since the release of their fourth studio album Nothing, it appears now that N.E.R.D fans are about to have a reason to celebrate as Pharrell and fellow band-mate Shay Haley have teased at new material in the works. During Pharrell’s headline set at iTunes festival at London’s Roundhouse, Shay Haley joined him on stage to perform classic hits “Rockstar,” “Lapdance” and “She Wants To Move.” Following from the performance Haley commented:
“It feels good to be back in London. When we released our first album back in 2001 and first crossed the Atlantic, this was the first place to embrace us. You’re gonna like this shit we’re gonna release…”
Continuing to hype the crowd, Pharrell stated:
“There will always be an NERD. I’m happy to be a nerd; the bullies lost, the nerds win”.
Despite the lack of solid confirmation, Shay’s words appear hopeful and with Pharrell on a mighty roll a new N.E.R.D album would certainly not go amiss.
