Peaking Lights continue to produce more dubbed-out pieces of sound alchemy with their latest effort, “Everyone and Us.” “Everyone and Us” serves as the second track to be liberated from the LA duo’s forthcoming album, Cosmic Logic, which is set to see release on October 7. As usual, Peaking Lights hybridize a myriad of sounds and styles. There’s bits of funk, old disco, pop, dub and more merged into a coherent, accessible production. In just a few minutes of time, the pair traverse more soundscapes than many artists do on a complete project. It may be just one song, but it feels like you’ve just listened to a full Rolodex of musical movements in one neat, manicured package.
