During the ongoing court case between the Beastie Boys against Monster Beverage Corp., who the band is suing for using their music without permission in a promotional video, Mike D revealed that there won’t be any new music from them. The band promised the late MCA that they would not make any new music after he passed away.
“We have not been able to tour since MCA, Adam Yauch, died,” Diamond said. “We can’t make new music.”
In addition, he revealed that the group turned down an request to use “Sabotage” in the recent Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie of the same title. “We weren’t fans of Mr. Schwarzenegger’s recent… work,” he said.
