Sam Smith - Stay With Me (Soul Clap Balearic Remix)

House-funk duo Soul Clap have given their take on up-and-coming crooner Sam Smith‘s soulful cut “Stay With Me.” Soul Clap’s “Balearic Remix” doesn’t quite maintain the tones of the original nor does it aim to tug at your heartstrings like the original. Instead, their rework of the track strips much of the drearier aspects of the song and imbues the piece with dancefloor drums and upbeat synth-stabs in an effort to get your limbs flailing and body moving. As opposed to the more insular, introverted experience of Sam Smith’s original sound, this remix could probably work well in many of Soul Clap’s future festival and poolside sets.
