Already in use by everyone from Red Bull and FOX Sports to National Geographic and the United States Army, the Kickstarter-supported panoramic CENTR camera will soon be available to all. Tiny but powerful, the design is one of the first 4K resolution panoramic cameras on the market, offering insanely crisp high-definition video thanks four individual cameras that work together in real time to record 360-degree imagery. Boasting a splash-proof body along with a quick-release battery, a trio of microphones, and 8GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, CENTR can even take 20MP stills while built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE mean the camera can share pics and videos with just about any device imaginable – it’s even compatible with tripods and GoPro mounts.
Head on over to CENTR’s dedicated web page for an in-depth look at the camera. Expected to be available in February of 2015, the groundbreaking design can be had now via Kickstarter support for $299 USD – a full $100 USD less than its eventual MSRP.
