For those unaware, rapper $tat is one of NYC’s rising underground talents, and as an emcee he channels the project-hall aggression of old-school NYC and places a personalized, modernized twist on it. His recent song “RNS” was featured by The Source, and his debut mixtape Made in ‘88 is scheduled for a May 20 release. Ahead of that event, $tat has a new track entitled “My City” available for listening. The song features fellow up-and-comer Smidrin and is produced by Cooarri, and finds both artists rapping as though their life depends on it.
