DJ EZ Rock Has Passed Away at 46

DJ EZ Rock, best known for his crossover hit “It Takes 2” alongside collaborator Rob Base, has passed away at the age of 46. It was Rob Base who broke the news via Facebook, stating “R.I.P Skip (DJ EZ Rock) friends since 4th grade I’m really going to miss you.” At this moment, the cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Born Rodney Bryce, EZ Rock was best known for 1988’s “It Takes 2,” an infectious hip-hop track made alongside childhood friend Rob Base. The song is credited with helping to lay the foundations for hip-hop’s crossover successes and establishing a connection with hip-hop and pop audiences.
