As an homage to its nautical heritage – the brand released the first diving watch, the Radiomir 3646, during World War II – Panerai has created a brand new four-pack of instruments: the “Eilean” collection. Taking its name from a 22mm Bermudian ketch that was acquired by the company in 2007, the “Eilean” release includes a clock, barometer, thermometer and hygrometer. Housed in corrosion-resistant AISI 316L stainless steel 14cm x 14cm square cushion-shaped cases – a nod to the restored navigational and timekeeping devices in the yacht – the instruments pair simple black dials with off-white markers while the thermometer also makes use of blue to denote subzero temperatures. Priced between $4,400 USD and $5,200 USD, the “Eilean” collection is now available to Panerai enthusiasts via online inquiry.
