After revealing his forthcoming Fall/Winter 2014 collection back in January at Milan Fashion Week, Marc Jacobs unveiled his corresponding seasonal Marc by Marc Jacobs collection as a part of New York Fashion Week yesterday. In stark contrast to the more refined look of his namesake label, Jacobs’ sub-collection exudes a much more brash, racing- and Japanese streetwear-inspired aesthetic as oversized silhouettes dominate in conjunction with bold patterns and graphics throughout – the rebellious spirit of which is further amplified with stylized “REVOLUTION,” “RALLY,” “UPRISING,” “NON-COMPLY” and “MBMJ” text graphics.
