Los Angeles-based artist Lisa Solberg runs a gallery called 24-Hour Psychic. The space, located in L.A.’s Arts District, is meant to be an immersive experience in which a visitor can walk in and reflect at any time of the day. Expanding on the same notion of self-reflection, Solberg re-worked a series of decks with reflective car paint, drawing over the boards for a special exhibition at Jiberish. The graphics were inspired by an artistic movement in the 1960′s dubbed the “Finish Fetish,” which (fittingly) was concerned with impressions of self versus outside perception. The above video walks us through Solberg’s process in making the boards, which are available for purchase here.
