Kanye West Approaches James Blake For Collaboration

There is little doubt that James Blake is one of the most in-demand collaborators in the music industry right now. Hence, it comes as little surprise that none other than Kanye West has invited him to join forces in the studio. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Blake explained that West has approached him about making music together, however, the fact that Blake isn’t keen on working in separate locations is standing in the way of a collaboration.

“I have been in contact with him… You know, the way that I like to work is bare bones and personal. I think because Kanye’s such an accomplished producer, if I was to work with him, then I think we could do something together, and just together, you know?

Blake further added that he’s being constantly approached for his relationships with various hip-hop artists, but confirmed that something is definitely in the making:

“Honestly, I spend so much fucking time talking about Kanye West and Chance and Drake,” he said. “People ask me so much about it, but really up until this point, I haven’t had any time to act on any impulse, so all I can say is we’ll see and watch this space but there’s things coming. I’m really excited. My monotonous tone of voice won’t show you that, but I’m excited.”
