Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God brand has done well to establish an aesthetic since its inauguration – many cues of which tie back to a flowing, California-inflected industrial aesthetic. The brand has been lent a new light courtesy of Union Los Angeles, who has stepped in to produce a new editorial for the Fall/Winter 2014 offerings. In “Friendship is Magic,” photographic duo Durimel and stylist Elizabeth Birkett-Gibbs consider the concept of kinfolk through select garments from Fear of God, relying on plaid and stripes in a farm-like context.
