Having released his debut Radio nearly 30 years now, you’d think LL Cool J would venture on to other interests much like peers from his era. This is definitely not the case for Ladies Love Cool James, who is set to drop G.O.A.T. 2 — the follow up to his critically acclaimed release from fourteen years ago — sometime next year. At 46 years-old, the rapper remains passionate with his craft, and in an interview with Rap-Up, reveals that he will be working with Eminem and T.I., as well as J. Cole and Raekwon in the album. Watch the video above or read what he has to say about it below.
“Me and Em have a song. He just recently let me hear his verse and it’s crazy. He’s chainsawing sh*t. I think people are gonna be pleasantly surprised when they hear me and him on a record together. It’s our first time we ever did something together. This is a record that I think people are gonna be excited [about]. To miss out on this G.O.A.T. 2 album would be a travesty for hip-hop. You can’t miss this shit. [T.I. and I] just got together, talkin’ and vibin’. He had an idea that he wanted to send me and I thought it was a crazy idea, and we collaborated and put something together that I think people are gonna bug out on. It’s gonna be trippy.”
