At only seven months old Coldplay‘s sixth studio album Ghost Stories is far from being news of the past, but the band once again proves their strong hustle game. In this interview with BBC Radio 1, not only did band frontman Chris Martin confirm that they’re “right in the middle” of working on their seventh album, but he also reveals that the project is to be titled A Head Full of Dreams. This news may resonate as being bittersweet to fans as the singer-songwriter explains that this will be considered the band’s “final chapter.” He explains, “We’re right in the middle of [recording] … It’s our seventh thing and the way we look at it, it’s like the last Harry Potter book. That’s not to say there won’t be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something. It was great to go from Ghost Stories right back into the studio. Now, we’re making things that sound different. It’s a very fun time to be in our band…I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing, otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it.” A tour will be scheduled upon its release, which was something they did not include for Ghost Stories. Check out the interview above, and head to the 3:15 mark for information on the new album.
