Mercedes-Benz Adds to Garrett McNamara's Innovative Surfboard Collaboration

No longer does the euphemism “The Mercedes-Benz of…” have to go taken figuratively – in surfing at least – as the German automaker follows up on its foray into surfboarding by teaming up with Garrett McNamara. Two boards have been produced for the occasion, one made entirely of Portugal-sourced cork and the other making use of aircraft-grade foam – both of which were produced by Portuguese brand Polen Surfboards. All this was done in preparation for world record holder McNamara to surf the revered North Canyon waves in Nazare – the site where he first made his name.
