iLoveMakonnen is tugging on heartstrings with his latest track, “Wishin You Well.” Produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, the FADER-premiered track represents the first time Makonnen and producer-of-the-moment Mike WiLL have collaborated on a track. The song will not be featured on any upcoming project, such as Mike WiLL’s forthcoming mixtape, but is apparently the first of several upcoming collaborations from the pair. For those expecting the usual “Mike WiLL banger,” you might have to do a double take when you press play on this. “Wishin You Well” is more of the melancholic balladry we’ve come to expect from Makonnen’s mixtapes.
