It’s no strain to concede that the Audi R8 is perhaps one of the most exciting releases to come from the German automaker in recent years. Adding a distinct racing edge to the brand canon, Audi is set to unveil a supercharged version of the R8 – its most powerful production vehicle ever, to be exact – at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. Out of the garage, the R8 Competition boasts a Daytona- and Nuerbergring-proven V10 FSI engine, ranking with a flooring 570 horsepower. This enables the swift R8 to race from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, too underlined by Audi’s unsparing use of matte carbon throughout the vehicle. Understandably, the R8 Competition is also extremely limited in production: just 60 models will be produced and available in the U.S. While witnessing one in person might be rendered a rarity for now, use your imagination and enjoy a look at the car above.
