For 2014 fall/winter, CDG’s diffusion line COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT again finds interesting ways to reinterpret the classic button-up. Amalgamating color block prints with pinstripes, plaids and all-over polka dot patterns, shirts are tapered to the body while cuffs and collars are tailored in ways to reveal various styling options. Adding to the mix are accents of Japanese traditional dress such as the slit button-up designs and cleave cuts at the hem. Enlisting subtle hues of navy, blue, grey and purple, roll-up denim jeans and pleated trousers complement the uppers, presenting a meticulous collection that’s certainly wearable.
