A.P.C. recently teamed up with French children’s label Bonton to produce a special collection of children’s clothing for the Spring/Summer 2014 season. The collection was inevitable as this isn’t the first time the two brands have collaborated on children’s clothing. A.P.C founder Jean Touitou also founded a creativity-centered school in Paris and enrolled his daughter Lily there. When the art department needed uniforms to use when painting, he turned to Thomas and Irène Cohen, founders of Bonton and parents of Lily’s classmate Alice.
The five-item lineup consists of a parka with a detachable quilt lining, a pair of “Good Jeans,” two sweaters, and a cotton skirt, combining A.P.C.’s functionality with Bonton’s playful approach to design. In addition, two A.P.C. x Nike footwear silhouettes have been reintroduced in children’s sizes to coincide with the collection. The children’s collection is currently available at Bonton and A.P.C. boutiques.
