NEIGHBORHOOD‘s Goodrich Sneaker returns, this time in apropos high-top form for Fall/Winter 2013. While you may associate B.F. Goodrich with tires, the Michigan-based company actually produced footwear back in the early ’70s. Thus, as NEIGHBORHOOD’s Shinsuke Takizawa is ever a student of Americana and heritage-inspired designs, the Japanese label’s retro kicks take their name as an homage to those now-defunct ’70s sneakers. Crafted in Japan and making use of a premium suede upper – as opposed to the canvas that graced previous low-top versions – these see metal eyelets, rawhide laces, a woven tongue label, and a vulcanized rubber sole with a matching toecap. Olive and black colorways are now available via End.
