In tribute to the challenges they push and overcome in their respective fields, whether in the heat of a game or the creative competition of music production, Pharrell Williams and Ray Lewis have joined forces with Under Armour on the Natural Born Hitters competition, and are giving the freshest faces of the music game a shot at mixing beats for the big leagues. Using Ready For August, a film loosely based on Ray Lewis’s perseverance and accomplishments during his early days of football as inspiration, Pharrell produced a four-piece mixtape as a tribute to the NFL legend that include tracks “Training,” “Practice,” “Pregame” and “Gametime.” Ready for the next big thing, the two have opened the doors for a new challenge and are encouraging aspiring producers to compose a mixtape of their own for a chance to see their track featured on Under Armour’s commercials during Monday Night Football. With the Top 5 also set to score a Natural Born Hitters “Smash Pack” courtesy of Under Armour, head over to Under Armour online for full competition details.
