Japanese mainstay uniform experiment presents the first look at its upcoming Fall/Winter 2013 collection by way of a brand new video. Set in a beautiful city park before moving indoors for a friendly game of poker, the video sees the label once again doing what it does best: unique, contemporary updates to classic menswear staples. A pioneer of the oft-imitated menswear/streetwear hybrid aesthetic, ue’s upcoming designs see cable-knit sweaters with color-blocked sleeves, wingtips and horsebit loafers with metallic stud applications, ties with clashing patterns, and overcoats with asymmetrical plackets. Plaids and stripes are again a focal point of the collection, applied in unique ways to otherwise simple pieces like oxfords and tailored trousers. uniform experiment’s 2013 fall/winter collection is set to debut July 27.
