Having spent six hours filming in a Manhattan art gallery, Jay Z’s performance art film for “Picasso Baby” is set to premiere Friday, August 2. As a first look at what’s to come, Hov released a 30-second trailer that gave a peek at the unconventional video, which is said to go beyond the realms of a music video and lean more so towards the territory of a short cinematic film. Citing his interpretation of concerts and performances as a form of performance art, the trailer provides a peek at the art space and fan enthusiasm that compose the film. Look for the debut on HBO on August 2 at 11 p.m.
