In what we hope becomes more of a trend, online retailer Everlane is providing a measure of transparency with a series of factory visits, the first of which kicks off in China. The world’s most populous nation has been leading the way in manufacturing — from furniture, to shoes, electronics and clothing — yet few of us, if any, have ever seen the inside of a Chinese factory.
