Elvis Costello & The Roots – Walk Us UPTOWN

Later this year iconic English singer/songwriter Elvis Costello will release a collaborative album alongside The Roots entitled Wise Up Ghost – a project initially teased by Questlove back in January. Now, American jazz label Blue Note Records presents the first single from the forthcoming project, a track dubbed “Walk Us UPTOWN.” Clocking in at just over three minutes in length, the piece does well to pair Costello’s distinctive vocals – presented here in slightly distorted fashion – with the Philadelphia-founded outfit’s neo-soul instrumentation.
