Danish design firm BIG finally unveils its highly anticipated LEGO House. The dream come true of every kid and kidult who grew up with the popular building block (unless you count this as well), the 7,600-square-meter building stands 30 meters tall and is located in the heart of LEGO’s birthplace of Billund, Denmark. Featuring several exterior and multilevel access points, the center will remain open year-long and will entertain its estimated 250,000 annual visitors with exhibitions showcasing the “past, present and future of the LEGO® idea,” a cafe, a 1,900-square-meter public square, rooftop gardens, and a LEGO store to end all LEGO stores. Construction on the LEGO® House is expected to begin early 2014 and will be inaugurated in 2016.
