After taking us behind the scenes of its photoshoot back in March, designer Hardy Blechman and his military-inspired label maharishi present the final product: the brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 “Pacifist Preppers” lookbook. True to form, the upcoming offerings from the British label match a penchant for utilitarianism with that of minimalist design, thus offering a range of tonal outerwear, trousers, and accessories alongside a bevy of bright orange and camo-adorned pieces – showcasing inspiration from hunting, the outdoors, and the aesthetic of pacifist revolutionaries alike. The more minimalist designs are juxtaposed with a few exaggerated features like oversized pockets, giant collars and elongated zipper pulls. Look for maharishi’s latest designs to be available from select stockists and the brand’s own online store later this year.
