Arto Saari: The Skateboarder Turned Photographer

As a skateboarder, Arto Saari has been one of the most influential leaders of our time, starring in countless video parts for his respective sponsors, progressing with each one. Arto’s career as a photographer though is just beginning to blossom. The Finland-born legend has been silently compiling photo features over the past few years in the likes of The Skateboard Mag and Skateboarder, however his first leading gig as a hired photographer came recently while working with action eyewear brand Oakley. The above video charts the team’s response to Arto’s new role, what gives him a leg up on other shooters in the industry, and of course features some great collateral from the trip. Enjoy.
