For 2013 summer, adidas Originals has teamed up with celebrated streetwear label mastermind JAPAN on a collection that flaunts both imprints’ much-respected themes. The collection sees the Superstar 80s, Rivalry Hi, and the Pro Model CF remodeled with black-centric paneling throughout. Each shoe features a full-grain leather upper with perforations and textured midsoles contrasting the somber constructions. Matched with tonal lacing, the profiles are rounded off with foiled mastermind JAPAN branding and adidas Originals’ signature white shell toe. Delivered with sensibilities both retro and contemporary, the adidas Originals by mastermind JAPAN 2013 summer collection will represent some of mmJ’s last works as it will be made available soon at select retailers including Sneakers76 and Wish in very limited quantities.
