None other than Pharrell Williams has been tapped to curate the soundtrack for the upcoming sequel to 2010′s Despicable Me. Fresh off a much-ballyhooed collaboration with Daft Punk, Pharrell’s first track to be unearthed – entitled “Happy” – was crafted alongside composer Heitor Pereira and pairs an infectious beat with a similarly catchy hook for an apropos accompaniment to the Steve Carell-starring comedy. The animated Despicable Me 2 is set to hit theaters on July 3.
