Brandon Shigeta and Marat Shaya bring us an exclusive interview with Bert Rodriguez, who discusses his latest installation: “I Will Always Let You Win.” The exhibition was recently featured at GLIFE’s (the manufacturers of the G Pen) pool party series. Rodriguez’s latest work is delivered in the form of an arcade-style machine, where users are able to pick their prizes via a claw machine. The other part of the piece, a fluorescent sign, is a commentary on the relationship between emotional and physical gratification. Enjoy Rodriguez’s commentary above, featuring a smooth beat produced by none other than NIGO.
