Who doesn’t like a brand new indie rock band that arrives out of nowhere with a polished, promising sound on their very first song? The latest to fit this description is The Hard Knocks, a young four-piece from the beautiful San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County that is being touted pretty accurately as a welcomed listen “for fans of The 1975, Pacific Air and The Neighbourhood.” Since they currently only have one song out, it would be wrong to give their whole existence a complete judgement just yet, but if “Pocket Full of Change” is any indicator, the band is onto something. The track will be on The Hard Knocks’ debut four-song EP, ME, which will be released on May 7 and available for a free download.
