AHLUWALIA Knocks on the Door of Its "Home Sweet Home" for SS25
The 31-look collection is drowned in floral crotchet, geometric patterns, and graphic silk uniforms.
Priya Ahluwalia has found an intimate connection with her homeland, returning to the well-stocked London Fashion Week calendar to honor her “Home Sweet Home” for Spring/Summer 2025. Inspired by the “soulful ties between identity and home,” the designer’s eponymous label, AHLUWALIA, visited London’s Westminster Church House to present a soulful tribute to African heritage.
The 31-look collection saw AHLUWALIA do what it does best, presenting an intricate range overwhelmed by floral crotchet, geometric patterns, and graphic silk uniforms. Drenched in vibrant tones, SS25 was elegantly formal with athletic underpinnings, showcased in cross-stitched ball gowns, asymmetrical knitted tops, and football gear with striking ornamentation.
SS25 began in an ocean of blues, followed by darkened and sheer party gear that revealed nude torsos beneath. Glossy silk dresses shined under the spotlight with twisted details, while thong-strung lowrise pants assembled blossoming chess boards. The collection continued with beaded co-ords for men, with AHLUWALIA diving into printed denim through diagrammatic laser indentations. The London-based label took a break to play ball in half-zip jerseys, ushered in by lace-trimmed tracksuits with swirling black panels to complete the range.
