Wu-Tang Clan‘s own Chef Raekwon sat down for a few minutes while in Seattle to chop it up with The Sermon’s Domain. With the Wu’s much-anticipated sixth studio album on the way, tentatively titled A Better Tomorrow, Rae opened up on a number of topics, including his thoughts on the project’s name, the chance of hearing unreleased Ol’ Dirty Bastard verses on the new album, and the status of his next solo project, which he says is “still in the oven. It’s still baking.” Raekwon ends the interview mentioning the possibility of a Wu-Tang summer tour, if everything falls into place. Could the group’s performances over the last two weekends at Coachella been a warmup to this tour? One can only hope. Check out the complete interview above to hear the Shaolin Island MC’s take on these subjects, and more, in his own words.
