Only God Forgives is an upcoming crime thriller written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn who made his mark with his Pusher crime drama series in his native Denmark and 2011’s Drive in Hollywood. Without giving too much away, the film stars Ryan Gosling and Kristin Scott Thomas, and is a revenge tale set in Bangkok where exiled Julian (Gosling) runs a Muay Thai club that is actually a front for the drug trade. Thomas plays Julian’s mother, Jenna. Look forward to lots of action and genre-bending from Gosling when the film hits theaters on July 19.
