Further evidence that the Danish menswear scene is one to watch, Copenhagen-based M.A.B. presents an impressive Fall/Winter 2013 collection that eschews androgyny for “masculinity in its truest sense.” Martin Asbjørn Bjerre — the 27-year-old designer behind the line — used classic tailoring techniques for garments of impeccable fit and construction, combining classic elegance and sophistication with modern silhouettes and details. For fall, loopback cotton sweatshirts, cardigans and biker jackets hearken back to the roots of American sportswear, while bomber jackets with tank top-inspired cuts and oversized kangaroo pockets on sweatshirts epitomize the best of Scandinavian street style. Adding an element of luxury to the collection is a high-collared alpaca knit, along with the use of lush goat leathers and wools throughout.
