Before her brand new single “Q.U.E.E.N.” hits iTunes tomorrow, Janelle Monáe has blessed fans with an early preview of the Erykah Badu-featuring tune. Monáe is looking to follow up the success of her debut album Archandroid, and today we get to listen to the first single off her sophomore LP, The Electric Lady. Providing a female-empowering jam, both singers let their vocal talents shine on the funky track. Taking to her Twitter earlier today she shared the inspiration behind the single going on to say:
Q.U.E.E.N. was inspired by private discussions between Erykah and me. It is meant to make you JAM. DANCE. FUNK OUT. and dialogue later…
